St Andrews was recently visited by OFSTED, as every school is from time to time. The inspection went well and the inspectors will publish their report soon.  I would like to say how proud I was of the children.  They behaved as they always do and I’m sure they made a great impression on the inspectors.  Well done children, for working so hard and for ‘just being you’ as you are every day.

Please let us know what you think of the new school site. The site has only been active for a few weeks and I think it looks great. The staff have worked hard to make the site look the way it does. Many children have have already contributed to class pages with poems, art work and lots more. Lots of very positive comments have been made already motivating the children to view the site frequently. Hopefully they will make use of the site and visit some of the links class teachers have included. Perhaps the children could add the site to their favourites when on-line. Your comments are valuable and will help us develop the site making it a great site for the whole school family. The site has been viewed mainly from within the United Kingdom. However it has also been visited by people living in both Europe and The United States. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and will view again soon. Wigan will play their first game this weekend and I think it will be a great season. If you support Wigan, one of the greatest rugby league teams in The World, post your opinions here as the season passes.

I was upset when I found out my office had been broken into. It has cost a lot of time and money to repair the damage. Lots of time was  taken to secure school on Sunday night. Mr Pilkington along with Mrs Massey and her husband were in school for a long time waiting for the police and boarding up the window. Thank you to Mrs Tomlinson for helping me to clean up the mess that was made. Mrs Tomlinson made my office feel like new and made my feel so much better. Thank you all for cheering me up and offering to help.

I am very excited about this new venture. I am looking forward to sharing with you events that happen at St Andrew’s. I would like to share my experiences and celebrate the success of everyone in the St Andrew’s school community.
